Tourism

A picturesque little rural hamlet in a typical Haut-Mâconnais village nestling between the banks of the Saône and the mountainous foothills of the Massif Sud Bourgogne, in a pleasant, unspoilt rural, wine-growing and natural setting, 7 km from the charming market town of Lugny (“the little capital of the Haut-Mâconnais” with its many amenities and the leading Burgundy wine-producing cellar).

Nestling in a pleasant, gently undulating mountain landscape alternating vineyard slopes, meadows and wooded hills at the foot of the Burgy mountain (an unspoilt massif offering an exceptional panoramic view as far as Mont Blanc on a clear day! ), this typical Mâconnais wine-growing village with the Viré-Clessé appellation boasts a rich heritage to be discovered as you wander through its hamlets (12th & 11th century Romanesque church and chapel, several castles, notably medieval, numerous mills, wash-houses, remains of a 13th-century commandery, etc.).

Sports and outdoor activities

Ideally located on the Romanesque churches circuit, the wine route and the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit (connected to many other routes for all levels), 3 km from the greenway and the Saône river, close to many signposted “green walks” winding between vineyards and nature.
